Converting a 1.4 theme to 1.6 Magento engine

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, like many of the members i also have a problem/question. Im busy with starting a new webshop, therefore i need a new theme. I saw a nice theme on this website, i want to purchase that theme but the problem is as follows:

Theme: 1.4.x version
My Magento version: 1.6.2.

I guess many of you know what to do in such a case, could someone advise me on this matter?
